The purpose of this document is to capture state-by-state information of policy and guidelines related to the science of reading / evidence-based reading instruction to be presented on The Reading League Compass, a website of reliable and reputable guidance and resources for targeted stakeholder groups.

Yes, we are currently working on a release date with a suggested evaluation tool

MO is currently completing an RFP in order to review additional K-5 core program instructional materials as well.

Not at this time.
Does your state have policy or guidance related to instruction and/or professional development
Yes. Educators may contact their local Regional Professional Development Centers across the state to access professional development services.
Does your state have state-developed guidance documents or training courses related to the science of reading?
Yes :
We are also working with Lexia to support LETRS training to educators and administrators across the state. We have 13 Regional Professional Development Centers that have LETRS trained facilitators, as well as, consultants who provide Science of Reading professional development to educators.

Missouri has a Comprehensive State Development Grant through the U.S. Department of Education that runs from 2020-2025.

Not at this time.

Yes.
